Matheson's AA Auctions in Melbourne (in the US, not Australia) sells on 25 April 2015 a "School of Rubens" Triumph of Amphitrite, estimated at $15,000 to $20,000 but with a starting bid of just $2,000. Seems like the seller hopes for a lot but will settle for a little.
Although Rubens has painted an Amphitrite, this one has very little of his School in it. It is much closer to the above work by Frans Francken the Younger (or a comparable work in the Prado), although of clearly lesser artistic quality. But the general style, and some specific elements like the central nude, are closely related. The above was for sale at Lempertz in 2009 for an estimated 20,000 to 30,000 Euro, but didn't sell. So, a "School of Francken II" instead of "School of Rubens", and while interesting clearly not worth the estimate, but more realistically some $5,000 or thereabouts. UPDATE: sold for $5,500!
And if you want more evidence linking this to Francken II: in 2006 the same composition (though with extra elements and at first glance better painted) was sold in Munchen for 5,000 Euro, according to ArtValue (which provided the above small image). So ignoring market fluctuations and the interest on the day, the one for sale here should be worth less than $5,000...
