Hans Jordaens III

At Brussels Art Auctions, they are selling a work by "Flemish School, 17th century" showing the "Ark of Noah", and estimated at a hefty 20,000 to 25,000 Euro.

It is clearly by or closely after Hans Jordaens III, using the same figures, animals, and so on but in a changed composition. It is less accurately painted, but that may be due to the smaller scale of this oil on copper painting compared to the other oil on canvas ones.

The above painting is attributed to Hans Jordaens the Elder, an ancestor (father?) of Hans Jordaens III, and seems to be the origin of the composition (not unlike Pieter Breughel the Elder and the reprises by Pieter Brueghel the Younger).

It is a nice work, but the attribution doesn't really make it more valuable than the original estimate though. UPDATE: not sold.
